Brett Eldredge and Joe Nichols at Clos La Chance Winery

Did someone say wine??? And country music?? I'm so there! Was happy to see one of my newer favorite country singers last night, Brett Eldredge along with Mr. Joe Nichols! Both put on a fantastic show and the night was amazing! The venue was beautiful and I think this was the first time a concert was put on at this winery!

Brett Eldredge took the stage first and performed a lot of his new songs that will be on his first cd coming out August 6th! One of the newer songs he sang was called Signs.
Before he sang his song One Mississippi he treated us to his cover of Georgia On My Mind....ohhh that voice!! So Awesome!!
Brett also did a cover of Bob Segar's Night Moves which caused a lot of ladies to come up and dance by the stage. By the time he started to sing Don't Ya, he had a plethora of women up by the stage dancing! lol!
After Brett was done I got the chance to meet him again and get some more wine and more beer for Dave! lol! Love how our picture turned out!! :)
Such a beautiful venue.....I don't think pictures do it justice!!
Loved seeing Joe Nichols again! It's been a few years since we've seen him last and I swear he gets funnier every time we see him! Or maybe it was the wine?? He started off playing a few of his hits...Brokenheartsville etc then somehow started playing "I like big butts"...I should've gotten it on video but I was laughing so hard! Then, as if you thought he was done with his jokes...He starts playing a Blake Shelton song! (He often gets confused with Blake). He sounded really really good singing Blake's song though....*correction* I guess Joe wrote Who are you when I'm not looking which was recorded by Blake! (Thanks Amanda) I got videos of him singing "Take It Off" and his new single "Sunny and 75"!

Really looking forward to seeing who KRTY is bringing here next! What a great show!!

CMA Fest 2013 Highlights

Dave and I just got back from our CMA fest adventures last night and it was awesome!! I was planning on writing a day by day blog but I tried to do that before a couple years ago and that didn't work out....I think I made it to day 3 and gave up lol. So while I have the effort and the memories from last week I will share what I can!

DAY 1: PARADE, THE HENNINGSENS, PARMALEE AND JT HODGES

We started off our adventure by going to the annual kickoff parade downtown! It did rain a little before and during the parade but it felt nice.....I think the parade is getting longer and longer every year because I don't remember it being this long last year!! Of course there were a lot of newer artists that I didn't recognize but there were a few that I did and was happy to see!

Dave and I before the parade!

                                                     Mom and Me :)
Ashton Shepherd! was good to see her in the parade!!
We went to lunch at Rockbottom Brewery after the parade and dad and my boyfriend Dave both got beer samplers! I highly recommend going there, the food was fantastic! It's right on lower Broadway so it was convenient too!

After lunch Dave and I headed off to see The Henningsens at the riverfront stage. They sounded way better than the last time we saw them at the Rodeo Club! I think standing on the side of the stage last time was why we couldn't really hear the lead singer very well.
They sang a song they wrote that The Band Perry recorded and had as a single called "You Lie". I love The Band Perry but I seriously thought she sounded better than Kimberly singing it! Her voice is so good!
After The Henningsens we were going to head up to the Hard Rock Stage to see Parmalee. We missed them play a few songs since the riverfront was delayed but it was good to see them!
We wandered around downtown after that and were heading up to the bridgestone arena and saw Jason Aldean's band outside....looked like they were rehearsing for the CMT awards and sure enough...Jason comes out!! I totally thought they were recording for the show because they had all the cameras and stuff working but I watched the awards later that night and they didn't tape then. It was pretty cool seeing Jason even if it was only one song!
We headed back to the hotel for a few hours after that because we were tired already lol. Then we went back downtown on the shuttle from our hotel to see JT Hodges on the Hard Rock stage. He sang a bunch of his new songs that he's been working on for his new record hopefully coming out soon! We stood in line to meet JT and get pictures but the flash didn't go off on my camera when the guy taking pictures took mine but it went off on Dave's! :( Oh well.....

One of the new songs he sang called "Has He Hurt You Yet"
Rather Be Wrong Than Lonely

DAY 2: JAKE OWEN FAN CLUB PARTY, MALLARY HOPE FAN CLUB PARTY

Was very excited for Thursday because we got to see Jake and Mallary in the same day!! Jake's party was at 9 in the morning and Mallary's was in the afternoon. At Jake's party I finally got to meet a friend I made on one of his stageit shows one night and got to meet his new guitar player Derek! I never know what to expect when we see Jake and this party he was kind of all over the place. I think the performing part was supposed to be an hour but I think it ran closer to an hour and a half! I think he talked to us that extra half an hour too. First things first, he wanted us to help him pick his new single. It was between Days Of Gold and Ghost Town. Days of Gold won the fans over but I personally thought that Ghost Town would have been a better choice. We'll just have to see how it does! Love both of them of course. He played a lot of new tunes that might go on his new album coming out in December. He did a Q&A session and we learned from him how to pick out the perfect watermelon. Random I know....lol. When he came out for the party he was holding Pearl and Lacey was there too!!
                                                           Alicia and I!
Derek and I! (dad made me hold his beer lol)
                                                           Jake and Pearl <3
Journey Of Your Life
A new song called Beachin' :)

Quite possibly the coolest M&G picture I've ever had!! love how the nashville skyline is in the background :)

Dave and I wandered around downtown after Jake's party before we headed to Mallary's party at Puckett's! Mallary brought two of her songwriting partners with her to perform at the party, Phil Barton and Alissa Moreno! They played a lot of newer songs that they wrote in a cabin last year along with some other favorite Mallary Hope tunes! It was good seeing her again!!
Mallary singing "She Never Really Falls In Love"

                                                         Me and Mallary!

DAY 3: BRETT ELDREDGE DAY!!! AND SOME MORE MALLARY HOPE TOO :)

I can't lie....I was very excited for this day because not only was I going to see Brett Eldredge at the HGTV Lodge but I was going to try to meet him too later at the Carl Black Booth! We succeeded in doing both and seeing Mallary Hope play at the Hard Rock stage in between all that!

Brett singing Tell Me Where To Park at the HGTV Lodge

Brett singing Don't Ya
Mallary Hope at the Hard Rock Stage

Mallary singing Black Widow

We went to eat right after Mallary and then stood in line to meet Brett. It started raining while we were standing there and we got soaked but my hair somehow managed to dry when the sun came back out to meet Brett! We also met Greg Bates while waiting and Dave met Cowboy Troy.

Brett was so nice and my goodness he is tall!! I felt like a midget standing next to him and had to stand on my tippy toes to give him a hug lol. But it was all worth it standing in the rain! :) *He's such a cutie!!*

DAY 4: LAST DAY IN NASHVILLE, LOVELESS CAFE, OPRYLAND HOTEL

The last day we were in Nashville (yesterday as I am writing this) we didn't do much concertwise. We had to drop my mom off at the airport at about noon so we went to the Loveless Cafe for breakfast!! Soooo good!!
We dropped mom off at the airport and then went to the Opryland Hotel to kill time before we had to leave for our flight later that night. I think I found the bridge that I stood on in a picture when I was a little girl....you can be the judge but I'm positive that it's the same bridge!! Ok looking at the picture side by side now....and I'm not so sure lol! But I had to recreate it!

Love all the pretty water fountains and waterfalls in the hotel!

We went to Dave and Busters to kill some more time....then headed to the airport....It was a great trip to Nashville! We'll see if we can do it again next year!
